Role of the Reading Specialists

Role of the Reading Specialists
Posted on 10/18/2019
Early in October our Reading Specialists, Melissa Zechello and Rita Greeley, hosted a parent coffee.  The job of the  reading specialists is to provide expert, effective instruction to children experiencing reading difficulties. They also provide support and resources to teachers as literacy coaches through weekly consults and modeling/co-teaching of whole-class lessons.  Aside from the scheduled reading assessments administered throughout the school year, the Reading Specialists provide additional interventions and progress monitoring tools for identifying students’ needs and informing the necessary instruction. Additional information and reading resources to support your child at home can be found on our reading website:   www.readaroundfoxborough.weebly.com
