We're All Wonders

If you haven’t heard the news yet GUIDANCE LESSONS ARE ON! YAY! With all the changes and uncertainties of 2020, I was so happy to resume my K-4 guidance lessons this school year. Kindergarten lessons are held virtually every Wednesday and Grades 1-4 will have an in-class guidance lesson every 4-6 weeks! I have chosen some of my favorite guidance lessons and added in some new ones.

In grades K-2 I have read the story “We’re All Wonders” which is based on the story “Wonder” by R. J. Palacio. Each year one of my main goals is to help students see how special and unique they all are. This book perfectly captures that notion! In our discussion students and teachers shared what makes them a wonder! Please ask your children about this story. Tell them about all the wonders that you see in them. Tell them about how you are a wonder! When we see all the beauty within ourselves and others, we can then also see the beauty of the world all around us. You are a Wonder! I am a Wonder! We are all WONDERS.
